Pakistan's big achievement is to Win the First Test Defeat to Sri Lanka by 4 Wickets. 

Pakistan defeated Sri Lanka by 4 wickets in the first Test match of the two-match series at the Galle International Stadium in Galle, Sri Lanka on Thursday.

Pakistan's Saud Shakeel scored a brilliant double century, while Imam-ul-Haq scored 50 not out to help Pakistan chase down Sri Lanka's target of 133. This is Pakistan's first Test win in exactly a year. Saud Shakeel is a very good sportsman and his batting temperament is too good.

Sri Lanka won the toss and elected to bat first. They got off to a good start, with opener Oshada Fernando scoring 50. However, the Pakistan bowlers then struck back, taking wickets at regular intervals. Sri Lanka were eventually bowled out for 222.

Saud Shakeel was the star of the show for Pakistan, scoring 206 runs off 339 balls. He hit 21 fours and 1 six in his innings. This is Shakeel's second Test century and his first double century. Shakeel's innings were a masterclass in batting against spin. He played the Sri Lankan spinners with great skill, rotating the strike and scoring runs off both sides of the wicket. He was particularly impressive against off-spinner Ramesh Mendis, scoring 102 runs off 143 balls against him.

Imam-ul-Haq's Steadying Hand:

Imam-ul-Haq played a patient and steady innings of 50 not out to help Pakistan chase down Sri Lanka's target. He hit 5 fours in his innings.

Imam-ul-Haq's innings were important because they gave Pakistan the stability they needed after Saud Shakeel was dismissed. He also played some crucial shots at the end of the innings to help Pakistan reach their target.

Pakistan's win over Sri Lanka is their first Test win in exactly a year. Their last Test win came against South Africa in January 2022.
